Fortigo Freight Services Inc. is a company that is at the forefront of the Canadian trucking industry. It all began in 1975 with a company called Fairway Canadian Express Inc. This business provided several services in Canadian trucking, such as domestic, cross-border and flatbed service. When it was known as Fairway Canadian Express, the business had an exclusive strategic partnership with Watkins Motor Lines that lasted for over 15 years. In 2004, Watkins purchased Fairway Canadian Express and then sold it to FedEx in 2006.
Out of all this, Fortigo Freight Services Inc. came to life and had the advantage of being a financially stable Canadian trucking company right from the start. Safety is always the number one priority with Fortigo and it continues to function as a private entity. The primary function of Fortigo is for fleet outsourcing, and they are able to manage the financial and safety risks for scores of different companies every single day.
